Meet the team at Rootwork
Three instructors, one shared belief: yoga should meet you where you are, not the other way around.
Maya Okafor
Opened Rootwork in 2016 after a decade of teaching vinyasa across New England. Leads most morning flow classes.
Dana Whitfield
Specializes in restorative and slow-flow classes, with a focus on breathwork and injury recovery.
Priya Nair
Leads our prenatal and postpartum classes, and teaches Sunday's community flow.
Our Approach
Every instructor at Rootwork teaches with modifications built in — you'll never feel singled out for taking an easier variation. We care more about consistent practice than perfect poses.
Classes & Offerings
Vinyasa Flow
A steady, breath-linked flow that builds heat and strength. Most popular class on the schedule.
Restorative Yoga
A slower, prop-supported practice focused on deep stretching and nervous-system reset.
Private & Prenatal Sessions
One-on-one sessions, including specialized prenatal and postpartum yoga.

What students say
I walked in knowing nothing and Dana made sure I never felt lost. Two years later it's the best part of my week.
Priya's prenatal class got me through a rough pregnancy. The instructors here actually know what they're doing.
Small studio, big community. I've tried the bigger chains and nothing compares to actually being known here.
